DC Studios has released the first teaser for Supergirl, offering fans a glimpse of Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El ahead.
The teaser and first look photos come ahead of the full trailer debut on Thursday, Dec. 11. The teaser follows Alcock’s cameo in 2025’s Superman and positions her as the central hero in the latest DC cinematic chapter.
Directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl is the second feature film under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s leadership at DC Studios.
Gunn previously called Alcock “the best bit of casting I’ve ever done in my entire life” during a September interview on The Howard Stern Show, adding, “I think she’s absolutely stunning in the movie.”
The film co-stars Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
Based on Tom King’s 2022 comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, illustrated by Bilquis Evely, the story follows Supergirl and a young alien girl, Knolle, across the galaxy as they pursue Krem of the Yellow Hills after he kills Knolle’s father.
The adaptation promises cosmic adventure, high-stakes action, and a fresh cinematic take on the iconic superhero.
Supergirl is slated for a June 26, 2026 release.
