Matty Healy’s recent actions had The 1975 fans convinced that the band is coming out with new music, and now the singer’s remarks addressing the speculation go beyond listeners’ expectations.
The Happiness singer surprised students at the Gateshead College to lead a songwriting workshop, where a lucky fan received a shocking confession.
In a fan-shared clip of the event, they went up to the band’s front man and asked him about the word ‘Dogs’ flashing on screen when they headlined at Glastonbury in June of 2025.
Matty casually revealed, "We made two. It might be one; it might be two. We made two albums,” a remark fans cannot stop obsessing over, and wondering if he is joking or being serious.
Elsewhere in the session, he announced that he would be performing at the charity show Sunday For Sammy on Feb. 16 at the Utilita Arena Newcastle, as well as discussing his approach to songwriting.
“It’s not living if it’s not with you,” the About You hit maker began, referencing his song, “alright that’s a nice sentiment, what’s that about? So that’s where I’ll start basically and I’ll reverse engineer it from there.”
Matty added that he believes that at the core of every good song is a particular sentiment that is being conveyed.
