Hollywood heavyweight Dwayne Johnson has poured cold water on hopes of a Jungle Cruise sequel.

The 53-year-old star admitted that fans are unlikely to see him back on the Amazon anytime soon.

Johnson, who charmed audiences alongside Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti in the 2021 adventure fantasy, told Entertainment Weekly: “I don’t think so.”

He revealed that a change in Disney’s leadership and the aftermath of COVID-19 shifted the studio’s priorities.

“They looked at that property and thought, we did it once, not sure if we should revisit it again. Despite whether or not our chemistry was great,” he said.

Blunt also confirmed the news, insisting she is comfortable with Disney’s decision.

“They did not want to set sail again, and that’s fine,” said the 4-year-old London-born actress, who is married to fellow star John Krasinski.

Meanwhile, the professional wrestler, known by name "the Rock" opened up about his recent career shift, admitting he had spent years in a “comfort zone” starring in big-budget blockbusters.

It took his co-star Blunt’s encouragement to push him into more vulnerable roles, leading him to star as UFC fighter Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine.

The biographical sports drama earned him a 15-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, leaving him overwhelmed.

Fans hoping for another jungle adventure may have to settle for Johnson’s next daring role.
