Princess Beatrice’s husband quietly helped Andrew before Royal Lodge eviction bombshell

Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, quietly played a significant behind-the-scenes role at Royal Lodge just one year before Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s very public downfall, new reports claim.

As Andrew now faces eviction and the loss of his remaining privileges, it has emerged that Edo, who turns 42 today, was deeply involved in advising the disgraced royal on redesigning and modernising the lavish Windsor residence.

According to the Daily Mail, Edo, a successful property developer, visited Royal Lodge several times last November.

The former prince was reportedly thrilled at the prospect of a major renovation, with Beatrice’s husband believed to be offering professional design advice to help overhaul the ageing mansion.

Those ambitious plans have now collapsed. Andrew, who was stripped of his titles, honours, and his HRH status due to his association with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, is being forced out by King Charles.

Instead of renovating, he is expected to relocate to a significantly smaller property on the Sandringham Estate.

Edoardo, who also shares son Christopher Woolf “Wolfie”, nine, with architect Dara Huang, comes from Italian nobility, a lineage that passes titles to his children.

His father, Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, explained this before Beatrice and Edo’s 2020 wedding, telling the Daily Mail: "Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation."

He added: "He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna."
