Meghan Markle has reportedly suffered a significant setback after Netflix decided not to stock any items from her lifestyle brand As Ever at its brand-new retail concept, Netflix House, which opens in Dallas, Texas on December 11.
The decision comes as a surprise to many, given that Netflix has heavily backed the duchess’s brand alongside her series With Love, Meghan.
Netflix House promises an immersive fan experience with themed food, drinks, games, and merchandise inspired by major hits such as Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Bridgerton.
But despite the streamer’s financial support of Meghan’s brand, The Royalist reports her products will not appear on the shelves.
Sources close to Meghan insist the move is insignificant, claiming her items were only intended to be sold through As Ever’s website.
Insiders, speaking to the outlet, however, suggest the real reason behind the omission is performance-related.
Viewership figures for Meghan’s Netflix output reportedly fell far short of expectations. Season one of With Love, Meghan launched in March but failed to make a splash, with official ratings showing 5.3 million views, placing it 383rd among Netflix’s most-watched shows in the first half of 2025.
Season two, released in late August, also failed to crack the top 10.
Industry insiders quoted by The Royalist were blunt in their assessment: “They were given a shot at being producers,” one source said. “It hasn’t exactly been a Hollywood success story.”
