New tensions appear to be emerging between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, with royal experts suggesting the couple’s latest moves expose a growing “divide” in both their personal and professional lives.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, made global headlines last week after it was revealed she would return to acting for the first time in eight years, starring as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends.
The announcement came just as Prince Harry, 41, embarked on a solo trip to Canada for Remembrance Week, while Prince William represented the King in Brazil for the Earthshot Prize and COP30.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told OK! Magazine that the timing of these overlapping appearances “shows clear divergence in opinions” and that the “feud between the brothers appears to be alive and well.”
“It was outrageous for Earthshot to be overshadowed by Harry’s visit, and then by Meghan’s film news,” Fitzwilliams said, adding that Meghan likely has “no intention” of returning to the U.K.
“She will want to keep her brand far removed from the toxicity surrounding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” he said.
