Queen Camilla resumes prominent role beside Kate Middleton for Remembrance Sunday

Queen Camilla took centre stage once again at the National Service of Remembrance in Whitehall, marking her return to the leading royal balcony after missing last year’s ceremony due to illness.

Standing beside Kate Middleton, the Queen led senior royals in solemn tribute to Britain’s war heroes, as King Charles and Prince William laid wreaths below at the Cenotaph.

Last year, the Princess of Wales was the highest-ranking royal to represent the monarchy on the balcony in the Queen’s absence.

But this year, Camilla resumed her traditional position, symbolising both her restored health and her pivotal role within the modern monarchy.

The Queen, dressed in elegant black with the Royal British Legion poppy, looked deeply moved during the two-minute silence, while Kate stood respectfully beside her in matching sombre tones.
