Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is reportedly “terrified” at the prospect of facing the US Congress as the fallout from his association with Jeffrey Epstein continues to engulf him, royal expert Phil Dampier has claimed.
The former Duke of York has been formally requested to appear before the House Oversight Committee for questioning about his “long-standing friendship” with the convicted paedophile.
The letter, co-signed by 16 Democratic lawmakers, referenced financial records containing notations such as “massage for Andrew” and demanded a response by November 20.
Speaking to The Sun, Dampier said: “Just when you think it can’t get any worse for Andrew, it does. He’s lost his titles, his home, and now faces a summons from Congress.”
“He’s absolutely terrified that if he travels abroad, he could be detained or even extradited to the US.”
The scandal comes just weeks after King Charles stripped his brother of his titles and honours.
