Kensington Palace has confirmed that Kate Middleton will make a powerful solo return to royal duties next week as she leads the nation in honouring Armistice Day.
The Princess of Wales, 43, will attend the Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum in Lichfield, Staffordshire, on November 11.
Kate will observe the two-minute silence at 11 a.m., before laying a wreath in tribute to all who have served in the Armed Forces.
At the service, the Princess will hear a special reading by the Arboretum’s Poet in Residence, Arji Manuelpillai, whose newly commissioned poem explores connection, courage, and sacrifice. Performances from Talent in the Ranks and Black Voices will also feature during the ceremony.
Following the service, Kate will meet veterans and families of serving personnel, as well as students from military households whose parents are currently deployed overseas.
The visit carries added poignancy for Kate, whose grandfather Peter Middleton served as a fighter pilot during World War II.
