Prince William landed in Brazil on Monday for an important trip of the year but his wife Kate Middleton did not accompany him.
The Prince of Wales is in Rio de Janeiro to attend his annual Earthshot Awards followed by COP30, the UN's climate conference.
However, Kate’s absence has left many concerned.
It ahs been reported that the Princess of Wales decided to stay back in UK for their kids, George, Charlotte and Louis.
As per Mirror, the Wales’ kids will be returning to school after the half-term break which made Kate want to stay back.
The trip also comes at a time when the family is settling into their new home, Forest Lodge after moving from Adelaide Cottage last week.
William will spend three days in the South American country celebrating the nominees and winners of his environmental initiative.
“As I depart for Rio de Janeiro, I am excited for my first visit and to experience Brazil’s vibrant culture, its extraordinary biodiversity, and above all, the warmth of its people.”, the prince said before leaving for Brazil.
The future king will attend the Earthshot Awards on Wednesday evening at the Museum of Tomorrow.
The following day, William will travel on to Belem for the UN's climate conference COP30.
