David Beckham calls King Charles his 'inspiration' as he receives knighthood

Sir David Beckham received his knighthood at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, and he made sure to pay a heartfelt tribute to King Charles, calling him his ultimate style inspiration.

Dressed in a sleek morning suit designed by his wife Victoria Beckham, Sir David, 50, revealed his outfit was directly inspired by the King’s timeless elegance.

 “He’s the most elegantly dressed man I know,” Beckham said proudly. 

“I looked at old pictures of him when he was young in morning suits, that’s exactly what I wanted to wear.”

The ceremony, attended by Victoria, Sir David’s parents, and three of their children, was an emotional moment for the football legend. 

“To be honoured by His Majesty the King is beyond anything I ever imagined,” he shared. 

“A boy from Leytonstone, standing in Windsor Castle, this is my proudest moment.”
