The family of Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, have broken their silence following King Charles’s unprecedented decision to strip his brother of all royal titles and honours.
In a powerful statement to the BBC, the Giuffre family said: “Today, she declares a victory. An ordinary American girl brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.”
They praised Virginia’s “unwavering fight for accountability,” vowing to continue her battle against those linked to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The move by the King formally ends Andrew’s royal life, as he will no longer use his title or style and will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, effectively reducing him to commoner status.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that Andrew has been served notice to surrender his lease at Royal Lodge, and will relocate to a privately funded home on the Sandringham Estate.
