Following King Charles's dramatic announcement stripping Prince Andrew of all royal titles and honours, attention has turned to his long-time companion and ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
The pair have lived together at Royal Lodge, Windsor, since 2004, but with the disgraced duke now formally ordered to surrender his lease and vacate the 30-room mansion, Sarah’s royal living arrangement has officially ended.
According to palace insiders, Andrew will move to a privately funded property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, while Sarah is expected to make her own housing arrangements.
One royal source told The Daily Mail: “It’s a matter for them whether they choose to live together, but the Palace won’t be facilitating it.”
The Palace’s statement made no mention of Ferguson, but confirmed: “Formal notice has today been served to surrender the lease. The move will take place as soon as practicable.”
