King Charles has finally taken a brutal decision on his brother Prince Andrew.
The Palace has released an official statement announcing that the former duke will no longer be called “Prince”.
The decision has been made after Andrew announced that he will be renouncing his royal titles, including the Duke of York on October 17.
The statement read “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”
It further added that he will now be called “Andrew Mountbatten Windsor”.
The former duke is also to be evicted from his residence of two decades that came under scrutiny in UK Parliament last week.
The statement mentioned the issue of his residence saying “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.”
He has been notified to surrender his lease and vacate the residence.
However, the statement reiterated Andrew’s stance in the allegations saying he continues to deny all accusations including the sex offence claims made on him.
In the end, the Palace has shared the sympathies of the king for the victims of sexual abuse.
