Charli XCX has made it clear she’s not hopping on the documentary bandwagon, and fans think her comments might be another thinly veiled jab at Taylor Swift.

The 33-year-old singer revealed she sees no point in releasing a Brat tour documentary, saying the market’s already “oversaturated.”

Speaking to Vanity Fair before the Lover crooner’s big Disney+ doc announcement, Charli confessed, “My problem with a lot of musician documentaries is it often shows the musician overcoming opposition to be the hero. That’s just not been my experience.”

The timing couldn’t be juicier, as Taylor’s upcoming six-part series The End of an Era will chronicle her record-breaking Eras Tour and the internet is already speculating the Boom Clap singer’s remarks weren’t entirely innocent.

Fuel was added to the fire after the Bad Blood hitmaker dropped her latest album, The Life of the Showgirl, featuring the track Actually Romantic, which fans are convinced is a diss aimed at the Von Dutch singer.

The lyrics appear to clap back at Charli’s Brat anthem Sympathy is a Knife, where she seemingly wished Taylor and ex-boyfriend Matty Healy, the bandmate of Charli’s husband George Daniel, would split.

The 35-year-old pop superstar sings: “I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave… It’s actually romantic, all the time you’ve spent on me.”

Is there really a feud between Charli XCX and Taylor Swift?

There’s no confirmed feud between Charli XCX and Taylor Swift, but fans believe tension exists due to lyrical overlaps and coincidences.

Both singers have denied any bad blood, Charli insists her songs aren’t “diss tracks,” while Taylor has publicly praised her work.

Charli even told fans to stop chanting anti-Taylor slogans at her shows.
