Taylor Swift, who reclaimed her master recordings after long feud, was called out for “cringe” lyrics of her new songs on The Life Of A Showgirl.
Although the 35-year-old singer accepted the “chaos” that followed her creativity, the new addition of acoustic songs added fuel to the fire.
The new version was made available in limited CDs on her official website which was announced after the release of her album on October 3.
While the tracks did not release on streaming platforms, the Grammy winner’s voice memos are being shared on social media platforms including Instagram.
One of the clips with text: “she charged people money for this btw,” featured a part of her track that sparked debate.
Fans began questioning its originality while those who were aware confirmed it is real.
An admirer noted in the comment section that they “can’t tell if this audio is real or not but I sure hope it isn’t,” while another revealed “it’s a voice memo” on the limited copies sold.
Someone was of the opinion that the song is “so bad it sounds like Ai.” A critic slammed another fan: “She didn’t share… Charging for a blooper is capitalistic madness.”
Referring to other artists, the online community contested to Taylor’s idea of selling the voice memos instead of “sharing the unfinished part of their songs.”
After The Life Of A Showgirl’s huge debut and record-breaking sales, the pop icon announced she is gearing up to release behind-the-scenes of her Eras tour.
