Singer and actor Im Siwan has teamed up with renowned agency SM Entertainment to drop his first album.
A spokesperson from the company told Maeil Business Star Today, "Our label is preparing Im Si-wan's solo album, and details such as the release date are currently being discussed."
The actor, who most recently starred in the Netflix film Mantis, has been pursuing solo activities since leaving his previous agency in August.
Reports claim that Siwan decided to choose SM as his choice due to the influence of artist Kangta.
This will be his first solo musical work since he debuted as part of the group ZE:A (Children of Empire) in 2010.
He has mostly risen to prominence through his role as an actor, having taken several prominent roles in the past. He rose to global fame after starring in season 3 of Squid Game earlier this year.
Fans of the star are highly anticipating the change in his career goals, as well as the type of music he chooses to pursue as a solo artist.
