Shawn Mendes releases new duet ‘Home’ with Eddie Benjamin

Shawn Mendes’ new music with Eddie Benjamin was released soon after he invited Eddie as an opening act for his tour On the Road Again.

Eddie and Shawn have been friends and have worked together for three to four years now and the most recent collaboration was when Eddie opened the concerts for Shawn’s North American leg of the tour.

Eddie launched the new song, Home featuring the 27-year-old on all digital music platforms on October 10, and the music video was released on YouTube.

The single released by the famous crooners is a soft acoustic ballad song which describes the connection that feels like home but you have to let it go anyway.

The new single was also performed live by the duo before the release at the Treat You Better hitmaker’s concert in Chicago on October 8 and received positive reactions from the audience.

The fans are referring to it as ‘the collab they never thought they needed’.

The song also entered the UK charts, ranking #1 on the Official Chart and is currently on #5.

Notably, the two artists met back in 2022 when Camila Cabello’s ex was struggling with his mental condition and took a break from his tour to focus on his well-being.

They also worked extensively on Shawn’s self titled album, Mendes and has been a great team.

For the unfamiliar, Shawn said the year he met Eddie was very hard for him but he was there for him and was the most wonderful and closest friend.
