British singer-songwriter Charli XCX might have shaded Taylor Swift during her surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live.
On Saturday, October 11, Charli appeared alongside musical guest Role Model in episode two of season 51, hosted by Amy Poehler.
During the performance of his hit song Sally, When the Wine Runs Out, Tucker Pillsbury shouted, “Where’s my Sally tonight?” as Charli entered the stage.
The Brat singer, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, rushed in wearing a black mini skirt, a black T-shirt featuring Max’s Kansas City, and black sunglasses.
After the performance went viral online, fans speculated that her shirt could be a subtle nod to Taylor Swift’s fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, amid ongoing feud rumors between the two singers.
Charli’s alleged diss came after Taylor released Actually Romantic from her The Life of a Showgirl album, which many Swifties believe to be a dig at the Grammy-nominated British artist.
“Iconic cameo, and that ‘Boring Barbie’ top is the petty cherry on top!” one user wrote on X after Charli’s appearance.
“Charli and Role Model just owned SNL!” another user added.
A third user took it further, claiming Taylor was “screaming into her pillows” after Charli’s viral moment.
