Shawn Mendes fuels romance rumours with Maro amid ongoing self-discovery

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes was spotted walking down the street with Maro, a Portuguese singer and YouTube sensation.

During their Tuesday coffee date in Los Angeles, the two were spotted walking closely by each other.

The 26-year-old, who formerly dated singer Camila Cabello, was seen engaged in a lengthy conversation with the YouTuber as they picked up a hot drink during a caffeine run.

Their appearance came six months after the Senorita hitmaker was the subject of widespread speculation, following rumours about his sexuality during his tour in Colorado.

The star flashed his chest while wearing a long black coat, worn open at the torso and accessorised with a golden chain with a pendant. 

He paired the look with loose-fitting blue trousers and black formal shoes, while his hair was styled in messy curls.

In contrast, the 30-year-old wore a blue sweater layered over a long inner shirt, paired with wide-pants. She completed the look with a crossbody bag and left her hair open.

The vocalist stated that he is still, “figuring it out,” but that he was attempting to be “really brave.”

Shawn Mendes is scheduled to go on a European tour starting from August 6th, 2025.
