BLACKPINK fans left guessing as YG denies comeback rumours

K-pop sensations BLACKPINK have sent fans into a frenzy following reports that the group is set to release a new album in December.

However, their label, YG Entertainment, has since played down the speculation, insisting that “nothing has been decided” regarding the group’s comeback plans.

The How You Like That hitmakers, Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé were rumoured to be making their long-awaited comeback by the end of the year. 

This comes months after YG founder Yang Hyun-Suk hinted that the girls’ third studio album could arrive by November, saying on YouTube: “We’ll do our best to get BLACKPINK’s album out soon.”

Since the release of their 2022 smash Born Pink, the quartet has been busy carving out solo success, from Lisa’s chart-topping collabs to Jennie’s acting debut in The Idol. 

Yet the members have repeatedly reassured fans that they’ve been working together behind the scenes.

Speaking to Variety, Lisa teased: “We were in the studio a few days ago. We can’t wait to see the Blinks again.”

For now, fans will have to stay patient. As Lisa cheekily put it: “It’s coming soon — I promise.”
