Prince Harry appeared to mask “inner anxiety” during his latest public appearance alongside Meghan Markle, a body language expert has revealed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out in New York City on Thursday night for the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala, where they were honoured as Humanitarians of the Year for their work through the Archewell Foundation.
But while Meghan dazzled on the red carpet, calm, confident, and poised before flashing cameras, her husband reportedly struggled to conceal visible signs of nervous energy.
Body language expert Judi James told Express: “Prince Harry adopts a slightly fiercer, campaigning look here, checking the buttons of his jacket in a self-comfort ritual to hint at some inner anxiety.”
“Meghan, meanwhile, appears serene and in control, politely thanking photographers and subtly signalling Harry when it’s time to move on.”
The expert added that the Duchess’s quiet gestures helped steady Harry throughout their red-carpet walk.
