Taylor Swift, who got engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce, launched a Release party for The Life Of A Showgirl to celebrate the new album.
However, the event failed to meet the expectations of her fans as @heyitspham turned to Instagram to give a detailed account of everything she faced there.
The user admitted she was "disappointed" after visiting the place.
She initially had “sky-high expectations,” thinking the pop icon would unveil backstory of “each song” on the album and her "feelings" associated with them.
According to netizen, the place felt like a “karaoke room” with “80% lyric videos.” She also claimed the information in the movie was “everything” that is already available on “TikTok” and other platforms.
Before each lyric video, the pop icon attempted to explain what the track is about but seemingly failed as she wasn’t “really articulate” about what she is talking.
The Eras tour star gave an impression she didn’t “rehearse” before-hand, going in "loops."
Taylor was allegedly being “intentionally vague” while speaking as she skipped mentioning that the high school guy from Ruin Friendship passed away. It was later revealed in the last verse of the song.
While describing The Fate of Ophelia, she pointed out how Hamlet drove the female figure crazy; however, the explanation offered by the Grammy winner “made zero sense” to the influencer.
The movie hit the theatres on October 3, same day as official release of the 12th studio album, which is also being criticised by fans for “cringe” lyrics.
However, the songstress responded to the backlash by saying that “I’m not art police” and is welcoming “the chaos.”
