Kirsten Dunst attended the LA premiere of her new film with Channing Tatum, Roofman, where she reflected on her career.

Speaking to People at the Paramount Lot, she mused on the reason for her long term success in the ever changing film industry, crediting it to “good friends and good family.”

The star continued, “I think that I just feel very proud that I can keep doing films that I want to do, and that [...] the industry has embraced me still and keeps doing so. I really appreciate growing up, finding my path and being part of making movies that mean a lot to me.”

Her first role was also her breakout part, starring opposite Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire at the age of 11. She went on to get a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.

On how she had been treated on the set at such a young age, Dunst revealed, “[I was] treated like a princess. Yes, it was a virtually all-male set, but everyone was very gentle and kind, and nothing ever felt weird."

"One morning, around Christmas, I remember going into my dressing room [...] and [Tom Cruise had] set up a beautiful tree in there for me, covered in ornaments," the actress recalled.
