Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray have had a quite tumultuous relationship in the public eye, but the two are healing their familial bond through music.
The Flowers singer talked about one of her latest songs, Secrets which she made in collaboration with Stevie Knicks and Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac for her father.
She had previously called it a peace offering after their alleged rift and estrangement.
In an interview with CBS News Sunday Morning on October 5th, the Grammy winner has now revealed how the Mulholland Drive actod reacted to the song.
“My dad cried,” Miley stated to host Tracy Smith adding, “everyone I say that to, they go, ‘I remember when my dad cried.’ ”
The Hannah Montana actress went on to say that most people don’t typically see their fathers cry and that it sticks with you if the tears are out of pain or happiness.
“I don't know if I've seen my dad cry since his dad passed away. My dad, you know, I just haven't really seen that,” Miley recalled.
The 32-year-old also revealed that her and Billy connect and heal through music and song, and that it is like a love language for them.
