English singer rushed off stage after shock festival fall
Singer-songwriter Lola Young, known for her raw lyrics and soulful voice, sent shockwaves through fans after collapsing on stage at the All Things Go Festival in New York.
While performing her hit track Conceited at Forest Hills Stadium, the 24-year-old Londoner suddenly collapsed, prompting medical staff to hurry her backstage.
The scare left fans in panic, but less than an hour later the Big Brown Eyes singer calmed fears with an Instagram update.
Taking to her Story, she told her admirers: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx.”
Fellow performer Remi Wolf paused her own set to update the crowd, admitting: “That was really f***** scary. My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.”
Moreover, Rapper Doechii also sent her love to the Messy hitmaker during her performance.
Moments before collapsing, the songstress had told audience she’d endured a “tricky couple of days”, adding: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue… but today I woke up and made the decision to come here.”
Her health scare came just 24 hours after she pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive concert, with her manager citing a “sensitive matter”.
The incident follows Lola’s recent candid admission about her ongoing sobriety journey after a stint in rehab last year.
“Anyone who knows that feeling will know it’s not linear, it’s always up and down,” she recently confessed.
