Prince William and Kate Middleton honour Southport girls with touching tribute

Prince William delivered an emotional promise to grieving families in Southport, telling them he and Kate Middleton “will always be here to support you.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales returned to the Merseyside town on Tuesday, months after it was rocked by the horrific murders of three young girls during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last summer.
Their visit included stops at the schools once attended by victims Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.
Their final engagement saw them tour a newly opened playground built in memory of the girls.
Addressing the community, William praised the “vision and determination” of the victims’ parents, calling the playground “a symbol of remembrance and resilience, a testament that love will always overcome tragedy.”
The future King also thanked local teachers for going “above and beyond” to help children process the unimaginable loss.
He told the families directly: “You have faced such horror – but from that you move forward with grace and fortitude – creating the most remarkable legacies for your girls.”
Concluding, William urged the community: “Be brave, be joyful and be kind.”
