Ryan Reynolds, who is known for his role as titular role of Deadpool, got all suited up to receive an honour from Mayor of Vancouver.
The 48-year-old actor has been very proud of his Canadian roots, calling the country his "third parent."
In his latest Instagram post, the Red Notice actor expressed his gratitude towards the Mayor Ken Smith for being awarded with "Freedom Of The City."
The Hollywood star began the post with: “Home is good for the battery,” thanking the Vancouver City Council for the acknowledgment.
Ryan admitted the city is “one of the great loves of my life” which is “moving, growing and bursting beauty.”
The Freedom Of The City is usually given to a person to acknowledge the value they bring to the community by working for the betterment of the place or to any notable figure paying a visit.
Fans rushed to the comment section to congratulate the Green Lantern star as one user admired “how proud you are of where you came from.”
Another wished him for this achievement, “Congrats Ryan, you totally deserve it,” while another joked that the father-of-four is collecting these honours “like infinity stones.”
While the Blade Trinity performer marked this achievement, he and his wife Blake Lively continue their legal battle against Justin Baldoni which started after the actress filed a lawsuit.
The Mayor shared his thoughts on the highest honours of the place, highlighting that the entrepreneur has been the embodiment of "generosity, leadership, and community" through his talent, resources and support for local businesses.
