Anne Hathaway has opened up about her journey to welcoming her third child with husband Adam Shulman.
At the New York City premiere of her upcoming epic The Odyssey, the actress said, "There's always hope until there’s not, but when you get to a certain age, that hope looks like 1% to 2%."
In an interview with Access Hollywood, she stated, "So we just decided to see where life took us, with a very, very healthy, realistic expectation, which was very low."
"We're overjoyed because we just know from personal experience that not everybody gets this, and certainly not when you want it...sometimes not ever," she continued.
Moreover, she told the outlet that she and Adam are thankful for the "blessing" they have.
Anne and Adam, who tied the knot in 2012, are already parents to two sons, Jonathan and Jack.
On the workfront, the actress is currently starring in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, alongside Matt Damon, Zendaya and Tom Holland.
Notably, The Odyssey is set to hit cinemas on July 17.
