Anne Hathaway has revealed that one of her standout maternity looks for The Odyssey press tour had been planned months in advance.
The Oscar-winning actress said she first spotted the blue Dior gown she wore to the film’s London premiere while searching for outfit options for The Devil Wears Prada 2 press appearances but decided to hold onto it because she knew it would work perfectly later in her pregnancy.
Speaking at the The Odyssey premiere on Monday, July 6 Hathaway said she instantly fell in love with the dress which was designed by Jonathan Anderson for Dior.
“I saw this dress, actually, when I was looking for some options for The Devil Wears Prada 2 press,” Hathaway said. “And I fell in love with it … This is a Jonathan Anderson for Dior.”
She explained that she asked for the gown to be held for her because she had a feeling it would be ideal in a few months’ time.
“And I said, ‘If it’s alright, would you please wait for me and hold this for me? Because in a few months I think it’s going to work,’” she added.
Hathaway is currently expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman.
At the The Odyssey premiere in London she wore the strapless blue gown while cradling her baby bump pairing the look with drop earrings, loose hair and a bold red lip.
