Ice Spice is opening up about her former collaborator Nicki Minaj, by giving details into their fallout, as well as an unexpected comparison of the Anaconda rapper with Cardi B.
The Barbie World singers were making waves with their hits before a conversation between the On the Radar singer and a former friend Baby Storme, about the Chun-Li rapper was leaked.
In an episode of the Baby, This is Keke Palmer, the 25-year-old explains why she called Nicki ungrateful and delusional at the time.
"[...] what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations,” Ice says, referring to the time the Pink Friday hitmaker attempted to sign her.
The singer, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston, also remarked about her Bronx native collaborator.
Ice stated, “I feel like Cardi B definitely brought back that hope [that] girls could rap, because for a long time, Nicki [Minaj] seemed so unattainable.”
Meanwhile the Boy's a liar Pt. 2 singer has maintained that she still respects the Side to Side rapper and admires her efforts.
Notably, the How High rapper’s comments could add to the already tense relationship between Nicki and Cardi, who have also gotten into a physical altercation in the past.
Cardi will be dropping her album, Am I The Drama? next month on September 19.
