Matt Reeves 'The Batman Part II': All you need to know

Matt Reeves, famously known for directing The Batman (2022), has exciting news for Gotham fans. 

The 59-year-old filmmaker revealed that The Batman Part II script has been locked in a high-security pouch, with filming scheduled for 2026. 

According to sources, the highly anticipated sequel’s script is now complete.

Reeves told Variety, wowing audiences, “We start shooting in spring, probably around the end of April or beginning of May. 

It’s been a long journey, but I’m incredibly excited. I’m really proud of the script that Tomlin and I wrote, and we’ve started sharing it with Robert [Pattinson].”

Furthermore, he revealed that the script is stored in a “secret pouch” secured with a lock and code. 

Even though it’s under top-level security, Robert Pattinson has already been trusted with the precious pages.

The 39-year-old actor, who reprised the caped crusader role in the first film, admitted to the intense pressure on set.

“Matt is such a perfectionist. On this, there’s a legacy of really, really good movies – everyone brings their A-game,” he told SFX Magazine.

Fans can expect a dark, gripping Gotham adventure, with Reeves promising that the sequel will honour the franchise’s legacy while keeping its secrets under wraps.
