Seth Rogen bagged his first-ever Primetime Emmy Award for his portrayal in the comedy series The Studio.

On September 14, the 43-year-old actor delightfully accepted the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series with an emotional speech.

Holding the golden statue, he said, “I couldn’t wrap my head around this as I literally prepared nothing. I have never won anything in my life.”

The Kung Fu Panda voice actor added, “When I was a kid, I bought a used bowling trophy at an estate sale and my parents were like, yeah, that's a good idea.”

Regen concluded his speech by thanking his wife, mother, and producers of The Studio, who allowed him to portray a meaningful character.

Netizens celebrated his achievement on X (formerly known as Twitter). One fan wrote, “Seth, u deserved it, but comedy standards r tanking fast.” Another well-wisher penned, “Congratulations, Big Seth!!”

Notably, Rogen portrayed Matt Remick in the comedy series, which follows the chaotic inner workings of a legacy Hollywood movie studio struggling to survive in the modern film industry.

Directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the show received 13 Emmys on Sunday, tying with The Bear, which took home the same number of statues last year.

For the unversed, The Studio has been renewed for a second season, though its premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.
