‘Wednesday’: Stars Emma Myers, Evie Templeton spill on ‘Dead Dance’

Emma Myers and Evie Templeton finally got a warm exit in Wednesday's Season 2 finale, after fiery exchanges throughout the season.

Myers, playing classic Wednesday’s polar opposite BFF Enid, and Templeton, starring as newcomer Agnes, had been at odds throughout the season.

The two set aside their differences, dazzling the crowd with a dance routine to Lady Gaga’s The Dead Dance during Nevermore’s fundraising gala, and later band together in a dramatic bid to rescue Wednesday from being buried alive.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the duo revealed their background in dancing and the preparation that went into Gaga’s latest song launch.

“We both have a bit of a background in dance, so it wasn’t too difficult to slip back into it,” Templeton said. “It was fun getting to workshop ideas and work with Corey [Baker], who is our choreographer, and see what worked and what didn’t. I definitely went back on some of the foundations I had from when I was younger.”

However, the series’ Agnes claimed that she was “terrified” in the dance sections where she had to pick up Myers.

“All that was going through my head was, ‘Do not drop Em, please do not drop Emma.’ But yeah, I was just clinging on so tight, I didn’t want to let her go,” Templeton said.

Meanwhile, Myers chimed in, “And I was just like, ‘Don’t crush Evie, don’t crush Evie.’”

Myers, who is widely known for A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, shared that she has been dancing since she was two.

“I used to be a competitive dancer,” Myers said. “So dance comes naturally to me. I think it was good that we both have dance backgrounds because they only gave us two weeks to rehearse until we were actually shooting. Had we not known how to dance before, it would have been a disaster.”
