American singer Sabrina Carpenter wins heart with iconic performance at MTV
Sabrina Carpenter, who recently released her album Man’s Best Friend, brought the heat to the MTV VMAs 2025 with a special performance.
The 26-year-old singer chose her new track Tears for the evening, adding a special twist that was noticeably giving off Britney Spears vibes.
Just like Britney did in the VMAs of 2000, the Espresso hitmaker danced on the new track under the rain.
The resemblance is uncanny as she even donned a similar bralette, pairing it with a jeans for the show.
After the videos from the awards night began circulating online, fans quickly pointed out the nod as one X user called the Grammy winner “Britney Spears’ daughter.”
Another fan gushed on the platform: “The latter part after she removes her shirt and does this dance step and spins in the rain… it was so Britney Spears coded.”
A third netizen pointed out that the Toxic crooner “left her legacy to a true pop princess.”
