Billy Bob Thornton, who is known for his acting in the movie, Tombstone, recently reflected on his tragic struggles in the past and childhood.
The American actor was present on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, where he recalled how his childhood looked liked.
He stated, “It's well known that I have all these different things. I have a severe anxiety disorder as well as OCD, and I grew up dyslexic. When I was growing up, they didn't have programs, and it wasn't a thing, you know,”
He added, “They just thought you were an idiot at school. I grew up with it… my dad was not particularly nice to me. It was kind of tough around the house when I was a kid.
He added that maybe his father was also going through something at that time which affected him as well as because he didn’t get the attention he deserved.
Billy then looked back on the times when he thought he was different, so he would do all these things which sound strange to him now.
The 70-year-old also opened up about his interaction with legendary singer, Warren Zevon and disclosed how they bonded over their illness, “Warren and I became friends, and we started discussing our OCD and our anxiety and all these different things. We used to compete with each other to see who had it worse.”
