Prince Harry’s US visa status has taken a new twist after fresh documents emerged suggesting the Duke of Sussex may hold a rare diplomatic visa.

Harry, 40, has lived in California with Meghan Markle since 2020, but questions arose after his memoir Spare detailed past drug use, an admission that can impact US visa eligibility.

The Heritage Foundation later went to court to demand his immigration records be made public, arguing there was a strong public interest.

But in March, a US judge ruled Harry’s visa details were private.

Now, newly unearthed documents hint that Harry may have an A-1 “Head of State” visa, a type usually reserved for royals, diplomats, and senior officials. Immigration lawyer Melissa Chavin told the Daily Mail that the visa could act as a “golden ticket,” allowing Harry to come and go freely with lower security checks.

“Each visa lasts five years and permits an indefinite stay, as long as he remains close to the line of succession,” Chavin explained.

If true, the A-1 status means Harry can effectively “sit in the US forever,” experts say.

The Duke previously admitted he “enjoys” life in America and plans to remain there permanently.
