Prince Harry has suffered another setback as one of his closest allies stepped down from a key role in his beloved Invictus Games Foundation.
Former Royal Marine and Strictly Come Dancing star JJ Chalmers, a longtime friend of the Duke of Sussex, has resigned as a trustee after just two years, according to the Daily Mail.
Chalmers, who first met Harry after suffering life-changing injuries in a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan in 2011, has been a passionate supporter of Invictus since its creation.
Despite stepping down as trustee, he is expected to continue working with the foundation in an ambassadorial role.
The move comes at a sensitive time for Harry, whose other charity, Sentebale, was recently rocked by controversy after chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka accused him of bullying and harassment.
The allegations were not upheld by a Charity Commission inquiry, but the row left the charity under a cloud of scrutiny.
Founded in 2014, Invictus has long been one of Harry’s proudest achievements, offering injured and sick service members a chance to compete on the world stage.
But with leadership shake-ups and Sentebale disputes, questions are now being raised over the stability of his charitable ventures.
