American rapper Lil Nas X faces strict consequences after being taken in to custody
Lil Nas X, who rose to fame after creating Old Town Road, was hit with a setback after he charged at police officials during his bizarre arrest.
While it was earlier reported that the rapper was in his best behaviour in jail, Lil Nas was slammed with four charges for not cooperating during his detention.
According to TMZ, the Call Me By Your Name crooner was charged for "battery with injury on a police officer" and "non-cooperation."
While the rapper pleads not guilty, these can result in his imprisonment of up to a decade if the rapper is convicted.
However, he has been released from jail on $75,000 bond.
It was reported by the officers that the 26-year-old was spotted strolling naked on Ventura Boulevard on Friday at nearly 6 a.m.
The complaint stated that the Industry Baby hitmaker “unlawfully” attacked with force which caused an “injury” on the peace officer who was “engaged in the performance of a duty.”
Did police use taser on Lil Nas X?
The outlet obtained a law enforcement scanner audio from the incident which fuelled speculations of a taser being used by the cops.
One of the X users prayed that Lil Nas “gets the help he needs” from someone “who cares about him.”
Another fan admitted they are “heartbroken with the latest news about” the singer, requesting people to avoid unnecessary chatter and “respect” him.
While the Rodeo singer has been charged with four felonies, the online community showed their support for him and wished well for his mental wellbeing.
