Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, has recently voiced her recovery from dark period of her life.

The English singer was subject to domestic violence, mental abuse, and almost torture by ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte.

The 50-year-old star owns a £2 million farm in the countryside of the Yorkshire Dales.

The former Spice Girls crooner lives in the estate with her current husband Rory McPhee and her kids.

The Wannabe artist noted looking after livestock, including chickens, ducks and goats, and goes for forest hikes that keep her mind calm.

She said Hello! Magazine, "It's beautiful and peaceful here and the animals make me feel very calm."

Moreover, she shared that whenever her head is revolving around thoughts, she goes for a quick hike.

The mother of three marked "drive up here, I can actually feel my shoulders relax," adding to "come back like a new person."

She went on to share the reason behind, "My dad grew up with goats and chickens in Nevis, so it reminds me of his roots and my lovely grandmother."

For now, she has a healthy relationship and binge-watches TV in the evening while her hairdresser husband cooks dinner.
