Drew Barrymore has recently reflected on her struggles with body image issue especially after two C-sections.
The Never Been Kissed actress gets teary eyed as she recalled her body insecurities during a fashion makeover segment on her eponymous talk show on April 6.
After guest Dawn Benwood, who is a mother-of-four children, stepped out on stage to expose her style transformation, Drew revealed that her story resonated with the actress
The Charlie’s Angels actress, who shares two daughters with ex-husband Will Kopelman, says that she “so related” with Dawn’s issue.
“The other day, I was walking down the street and I’ve had two C-sections and I’m so wrecked down there that I permanently just…I can’t wear a lot of different types of pants,” explains the 51-year-old.
Drew further says that the other day “I was walking around and I had this shorter shirt on and I couldn’t keep my jacket closed. And I’m walking around and I was [thinking], I don’t want anyone to see this”.
The 50 First Dates actress expresses her empathy with mother who after having kids get busy in their lives and then their “body changes and you get older and things just aren’t the same”.
After hearing Dawn story, Drew recalls how she felt two days ago walking down the street on a Sunday with her daughter.
“I totally get it. And I’ve gotta tell you, I’m looking at you and all I see is just your beautiful hard work – that I only know because you told us, I wouldn’t know otherwise – and you look so stunning,” adds the actress.
