Jay Z, who is known for his chart-topping hit tracks, made an urgent announcement to address the delay that was faced by nearly 10,000 fans.

The 56-year-old admitted that a huge number of people were left outside “and they closed all the doors as somebody rushed the door.”

According to the Empire State of Mind hitmaker, the situation unfolded as the organisers did it “for your safety and everybody’s safety outside.”

Jay was of the opinion that he was not willing to “start music if people get trampled,” apologising to the crowd who were at the venue.

He stated: “So I know, really sorry” for the incident, a statement which was followed by the audience responding at once.

However, the online community was not convinced by the answer with one X user noting: “When you tell a lie and scratch the back of your head,” adding several laughing emojis.

Another netizen raised an important question for the Renegade crooner: “And you couldn’t cancel and refund people?”

A concertgoer claimed on X that they are “still outside” and “we never got back in.”

Who was guest singer at Jay-Z concert?

Meanwhile, the singer decided to have Rihanna on stage to perform their hit song Run This Town and Bitch Better Have My Money. He also called Usher to the stage despite his ongoing tour.
