Jay-Z unveils London date for milestone ‘Jay-Z 30’ concert series
Jay-Z has expanded his “Jay-Z 30” anniversary concert series by adding a new London performance giving UK fans a chance to celebrate the rapper’s three-decade music career.
The music icon will perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 4 in what will be his only UK concert of the year.
The anniversary series also includes two milestone concerts at New York’s Yankee Stadium this week. Jay-Z will perform on July 10 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and return on July 11 to mark the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
Earlier this year the rapper headlined the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on May 30 performing alongside acclaimed hip-hop band The Roots.
Reviewing the performance, Variety’s Steven J. Horowitz praised the collaboration writing that Jay-Z and The Roots delivered a powerful set that showcased their enduring creative chemistry through seamless transitions between classic hits.
At the end of the show Jay-Z thanked his collaborators by telling the crowd “We worked really hard to put this together.”
Tickets for the London concert will go on presale on July 9 at 10 a.m. local time while general ticket sales begin on July 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
