BLACKPINK honours popular British band during tour concert

BLACKPINK, which comprises of Lisa, Jennie Kim, Rose and Jisoo, stunned fans by giving a surprise performance during their concert for Deadline World Tour.

Although the pop stars are notable for their signature shows, the four singers give electric performance after taking the London stage.

The girl group were in high spirits as they sang Wannabe by Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium, sending fans on nostalgic trip.

As the pop stars performed, the crowd joined them and started singing the lyrics of the iconic track, which was dominated the Billboard Hot 100 chart after debut.

However, the nod to the icons was not random as the pop girls have previously gushed about being motivated by the Too Much hitmaker.

During Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, they performed the song as they detailed about their obsession with the band.

LISA admitted that the 90’s group shaped her childhood while Jennie appreciated the members for being different from one another.

What are Spice names for BLACKPINK?

The host gave alternate “Spice” names to the South Korean band members. Rose was named “Aussie Pink,” Lisa became “Boss Pink,” Jennie was called “Shy Pink” while Jisoo was “Nail Pink.”

The nod to the Mama crooners further indicated that they hold great significance for the the Pink Venom singers, inspiring them as they tour the world.
