Backstreet Boys honoured their longtime producer, Max Martin, with a heartfelt gesture during their live performance in Las Vegas.

On August 16, the boy band performed their Into the Millennium residency at Sphere, where they spotted Martin in the crowd.

Howie Dorough, the group member, pointed at the 54-year-old songwriter and said, “He helped us create our legacy and the soundtrack to our lives.”

Before singing Don’t Want You Back, a track produced by the Swedish hitmaker, he added, “We are very indebted to Mr. Max Martin.”

The award-winning band encouraged the crowd to show ‘love’ to their talented producer, which resulted in people cheering and clapping for him.

Notably, Martin worked with the boys since their debut in 1995 on the first track, We’ve Got It Going On, and even produced the decades-long hit, I Want It That Way.

His talent led him to collaborate with Taylor Swift on her Reputation album, which is hailed as one of her best by her fans.

Last week, Swift announced that she has reunited with Martin to work on her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.

For the unversed, Backstreet Boys are currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album, Millennium, with a 20-day show in Las Vegas.

The residency began on August 1 and was scheduled to conclude on August 24; however, due to a rise in demand, the band extended the dates to December 2025.
