Cardi B, fresh off her WWE hosting debut, storms back with the explosive second single from her eagerly awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama?.
The track, titled Imaginary Playerz, samples Jay-Z’s 1997 classic Imaginary Player and is produced by DJ SwanQo, Sean Island, and OctaneThisThatGas.
Moreover, the release is accompanied by a cinematic music video, co-directed by WAP singer and her long-time creative partner, Patience Foster.
The 32-year-old rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her excitement over receiving Jay-Z’s approval for the song.
“This song is really important to me, and having his blessing made it even more special,” she said.
“It’s pure hip-hop energy, and I hope everyone vibes with it.”
The song highlights the songstress’s fearless personality and sharp lyrical talent, cementing its place as a standout on her upcoming album.
Fans can also purchase a limited-edition Imaginary Playerz merch box and alternative album artwork, available exclusively on CardiB.com.
Cardi released the album’s first single, Outside, earlier this week, marking her 13th Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit and her first No. 1 on Apple Music since Up.
