Sabrina Carpenter has landed the most high-profile duet of her career, a collaboration that is already sending fans into a frenzy.
The 26-year-old singer will appear on the title track of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl.
Notably, the only guest spot on the pop icon’s 12th studio LP.
The Espresso singer couldn’t hide her excitement, admitting, “I know someone who’s freaking out – and it’s me.”
The track will close the record, which is set for release on 3 October.
Carpenter, who previously opened for Swift on The Eras Tour, has frequently expressed her admiration for the singer.
“I hold her to such a different echelon,” she told Rolling Stone last year.
“I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she’s done.”
The Karma hitmaker revealed the album’s tracklist this week, with side one featuring The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter and Ruin the Friendship.
Side two includes Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood, CANCELLED!, Honey and the Carpenter collaboration The Life of a Showgirl.
The album title was revealed by Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason during a teaser for their New Heights podcast.
Sabrina Carpenter joined Taylor Swift as the opening act for 13 shows in Latin America in 2023, followed by 6 shows in Australia and 6 shows in Singapore in 2024.
