Quentin Tarantino has dropped multiple projects, and while discussing them he casually name-dropped who he considers to be two of the best directors.
The Reservoir Dogs director was commenting on David Fincher taking on the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, since Tarantino directed the original, when he gave some insight about himself.
In a conversation on The Church Of Tarantino podcast the two-time Academy Award winner noted, “I love this script, but I’m still walking down the same ground I’ve already walked, it just kind of unenthused me,” referring to The Adventures of Cliff Booth.
Tarantino went on to say that what entices him is uncharted territories and to be surprised, before showering Fincher with high praise.
“I think me and David Fincher are the two best directors, so the idea that David Fincher actually wants to adapt my work, to me, shows a level of seriousness towards my work that I think needs to be taken into account,” he said.
The Pulp Fiction writer added that he would still be available for any additional help, since he already serves as the writer and producer for the project.
Notably, Tarantino has also scrapped another project, The Movie Critic because he was simply no longer excited by it.
Tarantino has talked about Robert De Niro being the best actor, meanwhile they have collaborated on Jackie Brown.
