Sarah Jessica Parker, the veteran star, has no plans to revisit her iconic role anytime soon.
The 60-year-old actress revealed she doesn’t intend to watch Sex and the City or its revival, And Just Like That.
During a Q&A in Amagansett, she admitted that seeing herself on screen simply isn’t enjoyable.
“No,” Parker replied when asked if she would ever watch it.
“I wouldn’t want my time back. It’s not that I would regret it. I just don’t like watching myself. It’s not fun.”
Furthermore, she added that revisiting past projects can stir complex feelings.
“The further away it gets, the more sentimental and emotional it becomes,” she explained.
The screen icon shared that despite her hesitance, fans seem to know Carrie Bradshaw better than she does.
“They know my lines far more than I do,” she laughed.
"I will remember circumstances, but they have the whole picture. They're far more knowledgeable about it."
Sex and the City later inspired two films, the prequel series The Carrie Diaries, and the recent revival, which concluded on August 14.
Parker has been married to actor Matthew Broderick since 1997. The couple has three children, son James, 22, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, 16.
