Charli XCX recently gave fans a glimpse of her upcoming mockumentary film, The Moment, on social media.
On August 15, the 33-year-old singer took to Instagram to post behind-the-scenes footage from the production of her movie.
The first snap was from her concert in South Korea. It depicted a wide digital screen with a cryptic message written on it, 'please don't let it be over.'
While the second photo showed a clapperboard with The Moment written on it, which meant the first day of the shoot.
She captioned the photos, “please don’t let it be over xx.”
Notably, the film is based on the singer’s original idea and sees Charli play herself. A24 Studios is producing the movie.
Though the plot details are being kept under wraps, her longtime collaborator A.G. Cook is said to compose the soundtrack.
Netizens were overjoyed by the Apple hitmaker’s news. One fan commented, “THE MOMENT TEASER EVERYBODY GET TF UPPPPP.” Another wrote, “actress era loading.”
Moreover, Charli's message marked the end of her Brat era, which turned her into a pop icon.
For the unversed, the album was released in 2024 and soon gained recognition on social platforms as it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.
On the personal front, in July, Charli married her fiancé, George Daniel, in a private ceremony at Hackney Town Hall. The couple will reportedly have a second wedding in Sicily.
The award-winning artist took to TikTok to share Vivienne Westwood's wedding gown. She joked, “When George isn't crying when he sees me walking down the aisle.”
As of now, Charli XCX has an upcoming performance on August 30 in Virginia.
